With over 20 years of clinical experience, Rizwana Wadvalla is an alumna of the former Rand Afrikaans University (now UJ), where she earned her degree in Optometry.

Throughout her career, she has remained committed to continual learning, embracing advances in diagnostic technology, lens design, and evidence-based clinical care.

At L’Atelier Optometrist, her goal is simple: to provide an experience that is thoughtful, unhurried, and tailored to each patient, where clinical experience, personal attention, and a passion for exceptional vision come together.

Yumna is the optometrist and she sorted me out really good, adviced and guided me on what lenses fit me the best and also did a great job with adjusting both new and old frames to fit perfectly. Picked up my new glasses today and an old one that needed a change of lenses and they are just perfect. I’m more than satisfied with the services rendered and I’d highly recommend.
